The launch of Windows 8.1 with Bing, a free version of Windows 8.1, was a direct attack to Google and its chromebooks. Manufacturers were quick to launch computers with this operating system that did not depend so much on the Cloud and to an Internet connection, such as Chrome OS, besides offering full compatibility with the entire ecosystem for Windows x86 programs, for greatly reduced prices.
Now Toshiba surprises us with its Satellite CL-10B, a kind of chromebook, but with Windows 8.1 as the operating system. We say it is similar to a chromebook because it is clearly aimed to an online experience with the Cloud as a protagonist, as its internal storage capacity is only 32 GB. In return, we get 100 GB of free storage in OneDrive.
Its specifications are quite modest, with a 11.6 inch screen of 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, an Intel Celeron N2840 processor, and 2 GB of RAM DDR3 1600 MHz memory. It also includes stereo DTS Sound speakers, an HD webcam, USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, an SD card reader, and an HDMI port.
It comes with WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0 + LE connectivity. It has a battery life of 5 hours and 45 minutes.
