The specs of the AMD Kaveri A10-7850K and A10-7700K APUs have been leaked

We’re less than one month away from the release of the new APUs from AMD, which feature the successor of the Richland architecture. The new Kaveri APUs will be released on January 14 and the specs of the A10-7850K and the A10-7700K have already been leaked.

The A10-7850K is the successor of the A10-6800K, the most powerful Richland APU. It features a quad-core Steamroller processor at 3.7 GHz (4 GHz in Turbo mode) with 4 MB of L2 cache. It also features 8 shaders units, that is, 512 GCN stream processors working at 720 MHz. This is equivalent to a Radeon HD 7750 and you can also perform a Hybrid CrossFireX with dedicated graphics card based on the Cape Verde core. It also features a 95W TDP.

The A10-7700K also features a quad-core processor at 3.7 GHz and 4 GHz in Turbo mode and 4 MB of L2 cache. The difference is in the graphical capabilities: this APU features 6 shader units, 384 stream processors at 720 MHz and a 65W TDP.

Both are pretty easy to overclock thanks to the unlocked multiplier. The new Kaveri APUs are compatible with the API Mantle, True Audio technology, DirectX 11.2, OpenGL 4.3 and they are based on the new HSA architecture. These new models will cost around 150 USD.
