Without a doubt this NBA videogame saga has become the referent for basketball games as much as in Xbox as in Play Station.

The arrival of the Xbox One and the PS4 comes served with numerous improvements in gameplay, graphics, etc. And with it, the challenge for the developers to adapt to this demands.

Visual Concepts, has known to well adapt to this new generation, rebuilding the graphics. Distinguish every hair in the beard of James Hardem is a reality in NBA 2K14.

The game modes have improved as well. My Career and My GM will make you feel as if you were another NBA player. On top of that, this videogame counts with the license of every NBA franchise and with another 14 license from the Euroleague.

#3 Battlefield 4

Battlefield 4 gets in the scene with the shadow of Call of Duty: Ghosts, behind when it comes to warfare simulators. Both videogames spread the prominence in this segment.

About Battlefield 4 we can say that it will not let any gamers with indifference. EA DICE has improved if we compare the Battlefield 3 with this last version.

Battlefield 4’s plot revolves around a diplomatic conflict provoked by the Chinese striker Chang, that end triggering a worldwide conflict with USA and Russia in between.

The protagonist is Recker, an American marine that will go accompanied with a team of soldiers along the game.

Once the gamer has fully immersed into the game, he will realize the improvement from its antecessor. Maps, weapons, vehicles and modes has been expanded and perfected. The level of interaction is greater thanks to the “First Person Shooter”.

The big difference between the Xbox One and the PS4 is screen resolution. While the PS4 has 1.600 x 900, the Xbox One has 1.280 x 720. Besides the multiplayer mode in the consoles of this new generation allows until 64 players online while in the PS3 and the Xbox 360, 24 was the maximum.

If you’re thrilled by first person warfare, Battlefield 4 will become one of the best Xbox One’s games you’ll find.

#4, Dead Rising 3

For everyone who doesn’t know, Dead Rising is a videogame saga directed to all the zombie world lovers. This game, Xbox One’s exclusive, has planted some doubts it’s the last version, Dead Rising 3.

The plot of Dead Rising 3 is the same that Capcom is used to. A zombie infection a few days earlier the military bombard the zone, and a hero –Nick Ramos, profession mechanic- with resistance to the virus and general badassery.

The scenario where the story runs is the city of Lost, divided in 4 great zones.

This, a priori may be a point in favor but the truth is that there are numerous obstacles and barriers that will hinder the gamer free access to any zone, being possible only through certain road.

Details such as the possibility to attract zombies by means of Kinect and the gamer voice, or the controller vibration before the lack of ammo, separate this game from any other in its segment.

Another aspect that puts in doubt the improvement of Dead Rising 3, is the 720p resolution that develops and that gives the same experience in the Xbox One that in the Xbox 360.

Even though the technical aspects may be disappointing, it doesn’t happen with fun it transmits. The essence is the same that its predecessor, adding new guns and combined vehicles.

If you’re those who looks for a high degree of surrealism in a videogame this is the one.

Hobby Consolas has deepened even more in the analysis of Dead Rising 3. Check it out if you want to know even more about this great game.

#5 Call of Duty: Ghost

There is a hard competition coming in Xbox One and PS4, between Call of Duty: Ghost and Battlefield 4, titles that dominate the current outlook of warfare videogames and obviously, they’re in our ranking of the best games for Xbox One.

Of Call of Duty: Ghost we can add a few things to those already known. Is an excellent warfare simulator, with a great multiplayer mode and a realism that is taken to the extreme.

Call of Duty: Ghost keeps the same structure as always, it offers an intense solo campaign and a multiplayer mode with new options and a few surprises.

In this occasion, the videogame presents a new war scenario, in which USA has been invaded by The Federation, an alliance of South American countries. In this context we expect missions of all kinds: Recon operations, sabotage, hunting, etc… With the thrilling action as the real protagonist.

Call of Duty: Ghost counts with 18 missions spread in a variety of scenarios as different as Las Vegas, Caracas or the Antarctic.

To raise a “but” to this last game of Infinity Ward, we could say that it reminds us too much to his predecessor and there was no substantial change. The gameplay technique is the same. There is almost no evolution.

#6 Killer Instinct

Killer Instinct arises after 17 years and only for Xbox One.

This great fighting game is based in the punches that made vibrate a lot of Nintendo fans with the style of Street Fighter and has come back to stay and free.

Killer Instinct is very fast. It has been retouch a bit but keeps the same basis of the old versions.

It can be obtained by three different ways, but always through download.

The Free-to-Play mode only allows to control one character, and to face another six. The pack Combo Breaker allows controlling all the six characters and another two downloadable characters. The price for this pack is 20 euros.

At last the Ultra Edition pack includes eight controllable characters, plus different accessories, suits and the original game Killer Instinct from 1994. The price is 40 euros.

If we pay attention to the technique aspect, is surprising for good the graphic quality as well as the light effects and zoom changes. The realism in the graphics comes accompanied by music that will get you in the fight and will not distract your attention.

The different backgrounds that come with fight are worth of mention but not more than that. They do not have the life one would expect.

The worse is without a doubt the game lasting, it is too short. So much, that it gets frustrating and leave you striving for more.

In the Xbox One introduction this was one of the games that gathered less attention, even passing under the radar but at the end has given quite a few surprises. The graphic quality, gameplay and the low cost, has made Killer Instinct a tittle that is worth having.

Hobby Consoles offers you a full analysis of Killer Instinct that you can’t miss.

#7 FIFA 14

The eternal discord between FIFA 14 and PES seems decant every time more towards this last side, and EA Sports has great blame on it. Although the opinions will never coincide in this point, EA Sport has wanted to position itself in the market introducing FIFA 14 for Xbox One and PS4.

The debut of FIFA 14 in this new generation consoles has had a notable entrance. If well is true that does not start from scratch and that it present itself with the base of what has been already created, it is also true that it counts with novelties that will surprise you like its new and numerous televisual elements.

Gameplay for FIFA 14 is the same that for example Xbox 360, PS3 y PC. Aspects such as ball’s protections with arms, an entrance towards the ball or feints are kept.

On top of that, thanks to graphic motor Ignite, has augmented the number of animations. There are more variety in passes, and a more stylish and natural dribbling. The ball struggle, on the contrary, has not been perfectly accomplished. The controls are the same of older versions.

But if something hold the attention because of is awesomeness are the new televisual elements that are incorporated on FIFA 14 such as the inclusion of the ball boy and the players warming up in the benches.

Another aspect that has been improved is that the loading delay has been substantially deduced. This makes the handling speed more dynamic.

In definitive, although there are some aspects that could be improved, especially when it comes to graphics, in essence not only keeps quality but improves as well, making FIFA 14 a real referent point when it comes to soccer simulators.

If you want more detailed information about FIFA 14, Hobby Consolas analyze it for you.

#8 Ryse: Son of Rome

Ryse: Son of Rome is the last videogame worth mention in our best games for Xbox One list. It’s about an exclusive videogame that you’ll only find in Xbox One. At the beginning it was going to be released for Xbox 360 and with Kinect as protagonist, but finally it was decided to wait for the coming of the Xbox One, presenting it in this new Microsoft console.

The storyline of Ryse tell us the story of Marius, a roman soldier destined to defend his homeland against the invasion of barbaric British. The protagonist only thinks about justice and his people. The secondary characters, whose presence makes Ryse more interesting, are also important.

Gameplay is similar to other games such as God of War or Assasin’s Creed. The scenarios are not sandbox, but are designed as big corridors.

The visual aspect is the most prominent feature of Ryse. Graphics are well accomplished, in top of that, the plot is attractive which will make you immerse fully into the game.

The worse part of this videogame is duration, since it is very short and will leave you with the feeling of wanting more without possibilities of having it.

Hobby Consolas has made a full analysis of Ryse: Son of Rome which you cannot miss.
