Supposing you are seeking the best gaming laptop under $1000, you should know that according to increasing your cost you can own some really amazing machines from some brands of the best gaming laptop. Now video games have developed into the high level of graphics and because of that the high configurations are collocated into gaming laptops. In contract with standard laptop, you will be astonished with the difference between them.

Plenty of people are fond of playing PC games for many years, and most laptop manufacturer catch this requirement to cater to this factor. So that some pretty neat gaming PC is designed to make some common games have an awesome effect, and make some terrific games look unusually and amazingly remarkable.

However, the high price of the Asus G75SX and the Alienware M18x that are easily the best laptops for playing PC games means that not everyone is able to afford to buy. Therefore in terms of your budget, you can search some gaming laptops that are within your range. You should need to know what you really want in the light of speed, RAM, hard disk space, and what’s more, the graphics card of the machine. As my experience, a gaming laptop at least features intel i5 processor, 4GB ram, and 500GB hard disk, 1G Vram graphic card, so the following five best gaming laptops under 1000 are choosing by my minimum standards.

As long as you know exactly what you are searching, it is easy to find the cheap gaming laptops. You can buy these PC from a lot of resources and maximize the value of your money. As it just was said, let’s look at some probable expectants for the brand of best gaming laptop under 1000 dollars.

My recommend: Lenovo Ideapad y50

The Lenovo IdeaPad y50 caused quite a stir when it was introduced some time ago. The 15 ” multipurpose system offered a second Nvidia GPU as an option. The new IdeaPad y50 has upgraded the hardware and now has a GeForce GT 860M instead of a GeForce GT 755M SLI of Lenovo Y510. Can a portable dual-DirectX 11 threaten established competition from the high-end?

The Lenovo Ideapad Y50 features Intel Core i7-4700HQ and NVIDIA GeForce GT 860M dedicated graphics card.

The Intel Core i7-4700HQ is a top notch laptop quad core processor. It uses the Haswell structure and is made in 22nm. Because of hyper threading, each of the cores can work with as many as 8 threads in parallel, which will lead to an enhanced use of the CPU.

The way that the Core i7-4700HQ performs is much better than others such as a Sandy Bridge processor. This is basically because of the enhancements that have been made. It performs just like the Ivy Bridge based Core i7-3740QM

The NVIDIA GeForce GT 860m is a top notch graphic choice that can be used with laptops. It based on Maxwell architecture GPU. It’s performance is similar to the last generation Kepler-based GeForce GTX 770M and  GeForce GT 755M SLI, but it significantly reduces the heat dissipation and power consumption, Currently, it’s the best GPU of all laptops around $1000. Lenovo y50 also has two version of GTX860, 2GB DDR5 VRAM and 4GB DDR5 VRAM version. the price around 1000 dollars models features 2GB DDR5 VRAM, and the 4GB VRAM version need cost a money more than 1300 dollars.

Despite the emergence of micro stumbling and the dependency of the most recent drivers, IdeaPad y50 has the makings of a best seller. What other laptop is sold for 1,000 dollars and offers the performance of a system with a graphics GeForce  GTX 770M? It would be difficult to stuff more performance into a 15 “- at least if the weight and dimensions are important.

On the disadvantage side, the 1080p display is not good,  Color looks dull and lifeless, making the screen look unsightly for playing games outside of brown-and-gray shooters. (User reviews on Notebookreview)

On the positive side, the big improvement is its dimension, the Lenovo Y50 weighs in at 5.29 pounds and only measures 0.94 inches thin. like an ultrabook, We also like the backlit keyboard, ease in updating and a good sound system. Taking everything into account, the IdeaPad Y50 is an interesting idea and recommended as a gaming laptop.

Buying advice:

As above write, The lenovo y50 is my most recommended, for now,  the price of i7 version is around 1100 dollars, if it’s exceed your budget, you can choose the cheaper i5 version, the price is under $1000. ( Read more information on amazon)

The ASUS N550JK-DS71T has a touchscreen, which is helpful for use with the Windows 8 system, but its GPU GTX 850M is not as power as the GeForce GT 860M.

The Lenovo Z710 is another great one. It has 16 GB (2 x 8GB) ram, which is enough to run many heavy applications at the same time, but it has the worst graphics card of any of these laptops. If you are not playing demanding games, it will probably suit you well.

Which one can satisfy your needs well? Make your choice!

Hi I was just wondering would this laptop , the Lenovo be capable of running battlefield 4 on high with decent frame rates .

  • Logan Rush

I was wondering if the Acer Aspire will be a good match for the WoW standard and be able to run the graphics on High or Ultra without a big drop in fps or lag return. Have decently fast internet just wanting to make sure that it will render and play well.

Hi ! i need help can someone recommend me a good laptop? I’m thinking about lenovo or toshiba?

I’ll be using it for architecural purposes.(Sketchup, revit, auto desk and etc…)
(and if possible i could use playing sims3 and all of its expansions.)
    possible budget: $500-$750
    Thank you!

Katherine, I am replying about your comment on buying either a Lenavo or Toshiba… Speaking from experience, i would go with a Lenavo, toshiba is almost unusable. The battery stinks and the computer in general is terrible, AND it is over your budget. Go with a Lenavo

  • Hi , im thinking to buy Acer Aspire V3-772G-9829 , well because it not too expensive. But when i see the ASUS N550JV-DB72T , i see it almost have no different specs with acer except it 15.6 while acer 17.3 inch . So is the size affecting the price of laptop ? And is 17.3 inch is too big ? Just wondering .

  • The lenovo ideapad became my interest since last night . But there are few disadvantage of it . When i see some of user review , they said it heat up and has bad cooling system but they never said how long they play until it heat up . And 2 hours battery life eventhough u are not playing games and just surfing the internet .

  • Well , im kinda confused now. Some of other user said the lenovo battery can last 2 hours in game and 5 hours on normal task .
