Gone are the days in which gaming laptops could buy only be bought with special manufacturing configurations and their prices hovered or exceeded the 2,000 dollars. Currently, manufacturers strive to reach as many potential consumers as they can and this makes for series dedicated to players of all tastes and budgets.The latest offering from ASUS for this tight-budget sector comes with the ROG GL552, a laptop that bases its graphics power with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX950M of Maxwell architecture replacing the GTX 860M that had the GL551.
The remaining specifications are completed with an Intel Core i7-4720HQ, DDR3L 16GB memory and different storage options, from SSD M.2 to HDD 2TB. Its 15.6-inch display achieves a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and the panel is IPS type.
The price has not yet been revealed.. As a reference we can say that the previous version, the GL551JM with a GTX860M, was priced slightly below 1,000 dollars.
