Asus has already revealed four of their new TUF Z97 series motherboards, which based on the last Intel chipset, the Z97 Express. The new TUF Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1, and its homonymous Mark 2, along with the Gryphon Z97 and the Gryphon Z97 Armor Edition, is compatible with the fifth Intel processor generation, and also, exclusively the Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1 , come with the new SATA Express 10 Gbps interface. Both Sabertooth models, by the way, have ATX format, whereas the Gryphon boards have a mATX form factor.
The motherboards of the Asus TUF series are famous for their great stability and durability, so these new models are going to continue through that line to be able to provide the users with the best of the premium quality components. However, Asus has improved even more the temperature control of these boards, including a new cooling solution called TUG ICe, which will allow a more precise fan control and better temperature probes.
All the TUF Z97 motherboards have been strictly tested to ensure the maximum trust. The TUF military quality components have been improved with new alloy coils, which allow them to work a 13.6% fresher. The TUF ESD Guards have also been tested in tests that are two times harder than the standards rule, ensuring that there will be no electrostatic discharges, and that the earth electrodes are perfect, in order to avoid trouble with the components.
Besides, all boards have to pass 7000-hour compatibility tests with more than a 1000 devices to make sure that the users won’t have any trouble at the time of choosing the complementary hardware of these Asus motherboards. This is why they all count with a 5 year warranty policy.
