Asus Republic of Gamers announces G550K gaming notebook

On June 26, the gaming market division of Asus, Republic of Gamers, announced a new computer for hardcore gamers, the G550JK, a 15.6-inch laptop that offers the benefits of a gamer’s desktop PC and the mobility of a notebook. It comes equipped with the latest versions of the fourth-generation i7 Haswell, GTX 850M, and the capacity to overclock thanks to TurboMaster technology.

Most notable among its characteristics is its compactness as a thin and portable notebook, far different from the systems of old that were more transportable than portable. Its TurboMaster technology uses two independent fans and copper heat sinks, allowing the notebook to fully realize its potential via the overclock of the GTX 850M. Don’t worry about battery life, because Asus has thought of everything. Like the rest of its offerings that use NVIDIA graphics, this notebook has Optimus technology, which optimizes the battery’s efficiency when we’re not using demanding programs, maximizing battery life.

The aesthetic is another aspect that the company hasn’t neglected. The notebook is designed with elegant, finished aluminum lines that, along with the ROG color scheme, make the G550JK a premium option if we’re looking for a portable PC. With only a 1.1-inch thickness that enables ease of transport, mobility is no problem.

The notebook’s 15.6’’ FULL HD screen, IPS technology, and LED backlight give us a visual experience that won’t make us miss our desktops. We all care about ping times during online play and, of course, for playing on a Wi-Fi connection one can’t choose a better computer. Even so, Asus has decided to give the G550JK an 802.11ac network card. Bang & Oulsen sound and a SonicMaster subwoofer round out the suite of features this notebook offers us to complete our gaming experience.

Nothing has transcended price and availability but, sooner than later, these machines will be present in the most prominent online stores.
