The Radeon R9 285 “Toga”starts to get leaked.

The R9 285 is the first of the new AMD graphic cards with a Toga chip, the substitute for the Tahiti used by the R9 280 and R9 280X. First, we expect two models that use the new GPU, the R9 285 with Tonga PRO chip and the R9 285X with Tonga XT.

The first model has started leaking out in the form of three models from different manufacturers (Sapphire, XFX and HIS). The Radeon R9 285 is expected to arrive at speeds of 918 MHz for the core and of 1375 MHz for its 2GB of memory with a data bus of 256-bit, which gives it a bandwidth of 176 GB/s.

That three models have appeared at once suggests that the official launch is near and possibly within this same month of august.

At first its performance will be similar to the R9 280, but with a lower consumption expected. They will maintain the Crossfire XDMA to couple two or more cards without the necessity of an additional connector.
