Merely a few months after the release of the Raven RV04, SilverStone is already working on its successor. The first prototype of the Raven RV05 has already been showed at an event in Japan. The first thing you immediately notice are the two gigantic 180-mm fans.

SilverStone keeps making their cases smaller and smaller; according to the company, this model is much smaller than the RV01 (55 cubic decimeters compared to 114). Still, this new model supports all kinds of motherboard, including ATX, SSI-CEB, and micro-ATX.

The company stated that most of the biggest ATX motherboards, like ASUS’ ROG Maximus V Extreme, are supported. This is because they got rid of the 5.25-inch bay, though it has 7 extra expansion bays on the upper part.

Like we’ve seen in previous models, the motherboard must be set in an uncommon 90-degree angle, which means the connectors we would normally see on the rear in most cases are now looking upwards.

It features two 3.5-inch bays and two 2.5-inch ones, as well as an additional one for optical disc drives.

As for cooling options, it includes two 180-mm fans protected by an anti-dust filter, one 120-mm fan on the upper part and a rear 120-mm one.

Is also has two frontal USB 3.0 ports and the most common audio and video ports.

SilverStone clearly stated they only showed a prototype, which means the final version might be a bit different, and evidently nothing has been said about the official release price and date.
