Despite the fact that the majority of new mouse devices that come onto the market do it with laser sensors, ROCCAT maintains its decision to use an optical sensor with 6.400 DPI.

The Kone XTD optical was made for gamers who prefer a mouse with high precision and prefer the response of an optic sensor over a model that uses a laser sensor. Its sensor the Pro- Optic R5 offers 6.400 DPI of maximum sensitivity, naturally it is customizable to the users taste, and has a response time of 1ms and a refresh rate of 1.000 Hz.

In its interior, controlling the programming of its customizable buttons is an ARM Turbo Core v2 with 32 bits and 526 KB storage capacity for profiles, macros and settings that the user can store. It is also possible to customize the height of the mouse with the ADCU system.
