After the well-known leave of Johan Carmak from ID Software, it is now Rob Pardo’s, Blizzard’s creative director, turn to leave office. Hired in 1997 after staying at Interplay for a while, after 14 years in the company, first as executive vice-president and then as creative director, he announces his desertion, according to him “after long and meditated deliberation”.

Long has been the time that Rob Pardo has been in the company, leaving behind a big legacy and being one of the main players in the current aesthetics that Blizzard games have now, being implicated in games like StarCraft, Warcraft III, Diablo III or World of Warcraft among many others.

The now ex-employee says that he hasn’t planned his future yet and that what he wants right now is to pass time with his family and play lots of videogames, It seems that Rob Pardo was a bit tired of his responsibilities.

How this will affect Blizzard’s structure as well as its next games remains to be seen, as this company’s launched tend to create great expectations from the gamer’s world.
