CeBIT 2014. MSI has started strong at the Hannover event presenting a Ultrabook designed for gaming, with a powerful Intel Haswell processor, the latest NVIDIA GPU and a native resolution of 2880 x 1620.

MSI has updated their gaming notebooks with a special design, weight and thickness, and this Ghost Pro is below two kilograms in weight and 20 mm thick, unlike previous models like the GT60, which is not bad for a laptop that is not designed primarily for mobile productivity.

Of course, the firm maintains the power of the latest equipment with one of the most powerful Intel processors for laptops: A Haswell 4700HQ Core i7 with four cores and eight threads with 6 Mbytes of cache at 3.4 GHz.

You can install up to 16 GB of RAM and it offers two double bays for SSD or mechanical hard drives. A dedicated latest generation NVIDIA Maxwell GTX 8xxM graphics card makes it perfect for games.

As the current series, it features good connectivity (standard and optional) from a Blu-ray recorder to a dedicated network card Killer featuring 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Ethernet, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4 and webcam. It also has Dynaudio Speakers with subwoofer and a SteelSeries backlit keyboard with programmable keys.

It will be available in April and will come with Windows 8.1. No official price has been announced but 2000 USD seems likely. engadget has published a picture gallery of this device.
