The Chinese company Lenovo has released the Lenovo Y50, a large and powerful laptop with a 15.6-inch screen that offers a very high 4K resolution.

Lenovo Y50

This is not the first 4K laptop in the market since we have already seen the Toshiba P50t in the international market, but the Lenovo Y50 is definitely one of the first with a clear focus on entertainment, multimedia and gaming.

This is why they offer one of the most powerful Intel Haswell mobile processors, with a suitable RAM, large storage space, an NVIDIA graphics card, a standard connectivity, an audio system with two Dolby JBL speakers, and the star of the show: a 15.6-inch screen with a 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution.

Lenovo Y50 Technical specs

  • Resolution: 3840 × 2160 pixels UHD
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4710HQ (6 MB – 4-core 3.5 GHz auction)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2-4 GB

Lenovo Y50 price and availability:

Lenovo offers two laptop varieties for $1,299 and $1,599, respectively, depending on the graphics, RAM and hard disk space (1 Tbyte) or solid state drive (512 GB).

It is available for purchase in the USA Lenovo site with availability times ranging between two and four weeks. We think that the next international launch of an entertainment and gaming system with a 4K screen will continue to increase the screen resolution.
