Intel updates its drivers for Iris and Intel HD integrated graphics

Intel’s integrated graphics, specially the Iris and the Iris Pro, are also part of the game scene, due that, not in vain, according to Steam statistics, a 16.48% of PC users play in Steam with the brand’s graphics. The point is that a few hours ago, Intel has made available to users its new drivers: Iris/HD Graphics 15.36.0.3652 Beta, specially optimized for the new Grid Autosport game.

This announcement is not surprising if we take into account that Intel has actively collaborated with Codemasters in the Grid Autosport development, introducing specific optimizations both for its processors and for its integrated graphics. With this new driver ensemble, Intel promises better graphic performance in this game (and in others) and, also, compatibility with Miracast (wireless monitors).

The curious note on these new 15.36.0.3652 Beta drivers is that they are the firsts that stop giving support to integrated graphics on Ivy Bridge processors, so these are only compatible with the integrated graphics on the 4th generation Intel Haswell integrated graphics (including the new Haswell v2).
