This device is capable of adding 4G connectivity to laptops, ultra books and tablets quickly and easily.

Intel XMM 7160 is the name of a new chip that features the 4G/LTE module the consumers will be able to finally get. It uses PCI Express M.2 format to enable this connectivity on tablets, ultra books and laptops, giving them support for high-speed internet –up to 100 Mbps-. To ensure the best possible compatibility with every network in the world, the Intel XMM 7160 supports 15 LTE bands so you can use it anywhere without an issue, as different countries and areas use different bands.

It’s highly likely we’ll start seeing more and more of these devices hit the market, and we’re confident to say this kind of technology will one day become the standard.
