GIGABYTE has announced the support for the Kaveri APUs from AMD in their FM2+ motherboards with A88X, A78 and A55 chipsets, a decision as positive as it is necessary, since the owners of said motherboards will now be able to enjoy every feature of these new APUs from the Sunnyvale company.

According to Bernd Lienhard, Corporate Vice-President and General Manager of AMD’s Client Business Unit:

“In collaboration with GIGABYTE, here in AMD we’re proud of offering a truly optimized experience for our users in terms of performance, at the same time we create an unrivaled audiovisual experience in the industry with the release of these new APUs”.

Inside this generation of FM2+ motherboards from GIGABYTE we can find the quality and reliability the company is known for, thanks in no small part to the Ultradurable technology, but other aspects are also noteworthy, like a double copper coating in the PCB.

It’s worth remembering that the CPU of the Kaveri APUs from AMD are based on the Steamroller architecture, while the GPU features more flow processors, which translates into a better performance.
