Best Gaming Laptop under 800 Dollars 2017

April 5, 2017 6:16 am1 comment

If you want a laptop that will play high definition games, then a top notch graphics card and processor are essential. However, do not assume that you will have to pay an arm and leg for it. This might have been the case a few years ago, but not now. These days, it is possible to find what you are looking for at a price that is as low as $800. We are going to show some of the ones that you can pick that are lower than 800 dollars. A majority of people still think that low priced laptops do not have what it takes to play the most recent games that have hit the market. They think that only desktop computers can do this as well as inexpensive laptops. But, there really are no differences, since they contain the same type of processor.

But, it is still hard to find the right gaming laptop, since the selections are vast. Also this process is hard because there are a few things that you should consider when searching for one. The processor should have a minimum of 2GHz or your gaming ability will not have enough power for the most recent HD games that are on the market. You should also strive to get a 320 GB hard drive storage so that you can save the larger games. All in all, we are not going to waste your time by showing you what are considered to be the best and more expensive laptops that are 1000 dollars or more. We are only going to show the less expensive ones. Thus, if you want to find a top laptop for gaming purposes, then you should stick around. Hopefully, you will come across the best and ideal gaming notebook for your particular needs from the following list:

Our recommendation: ASUS VivoBook Pro N552VW-DS79

ASUS VivoBook Pro N552VW-DS79

ASUS VivoBook Pro N552VW-DS79, a model that costs less than 800 USD while offering better than expected features and overall value. With this model, ASUS proves, once again, that they intend to bring their mid-range laptops and their ultrabooks closer to each other regarding looks and performance.

If you are thinking about the new ASUS as a mid-range laptop, you may be a little off the mark. A look at its modern design, the materials used for the casing and the display quality would tell you that this is more like an ultrabook, instead of your regular, run of them mill, notebook. However, regarding screen size and overall performance, this behaves more like a mid-range model.

Let’s take a look at what the beautiful design hides under its hood. The heart of the notebook is represented by an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, which puts it on par with more expensive models. The CPU is capable of reaching 2.6GHz-3.5Ghz and 6MB of cache, as expected from a 6th generation processor. The pure power provided by its capable CPU helps this ASUS laptop with scoring high values in benchmark testing, so you will know that you are getting great value for the money.

The laptop comes equipped with 1TB HDD, on which you can store everything you want and need. Keep in mind that this is a traditional HDD, not SDD, so it will not have the same speed. Despite such drawbacks, 1 TB of available space is enough for students and people using it from home..

Graphics and display

Regarding graphics performance, it must be noted that the N552VW-DS79 has its dedicated graphics card, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M. By all means, there are models on the market that come equipped with better video cards, but this one offers good performance at a fair price. You will be able to use the laptop for 3D rendering, photo and video processing, and for playing a healthy range of video games.

The display is one of the highlights of this particular model. It is true that the HDD and the graphics card are not the best out there, but for the price, they offer a good deal. What makes this deal even sweeter is the high-quality display the model comes equipped with.

The 15.6-inch display is capable of rendering 4K content on the screen, and it is also an IPS model, which means that you will experience no loss of image quality at extreme viewing angles or washed out colors. The highest resolution possible is 3840 x 2160 pixels, so you will feel hard pressed to find something wrong with this display. Sporting a color gamut of 72% NTSC and 100% SRGB, the laptop’s image quality will impress through its deep, rich, vibrant colors. Conclusion

There are a few things that are just a little about average about the ASUS N552VW-DS79, but, nonetheless, it is a device you can use to replace your old desktop. It can serve as a workstation, and its performance is a bit above mid-range models. Featuring a beautiful modern design and a high-quality 4K display, it offers a good deal for your money.

Buying Guide:

Each of these four gaming laptops has its own unique place, and my recommendation is the MSI GL62M 7RE-407. The MSI GL62M 7RE-407 has the best performance of these five laptops. It features a 256GB SSD, Intel i5-7300HQ processor and the new NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti GPU, it’s the best graphics card for laptops at a price of 800 dollars even 1000 dollars, Thanks to its 4GB DDR5 VRAM, it’s better suited to play some high-end games needing more VRAM. As my search, MSI GL62M 7RE-407 is the best affordable choice to buy a laptop with NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti GPU.  GTX 1050 Ti  is an middle-high end GPU.  It can beat the GeForce GTX 965M and the regular GTX 1050 by around 30%, so the GTX 1050 Ti is comparable to a GTX 970M in general. You can play most current games (as of 2016) easily and smoothly in Full HD resolution and high settings. What I like best about it is its 256GB SSD, which is enough for most users, and I recommend to buy a external Hard Drive at the same time, in which the files such as videos and photos can be stored in order to free up more SSD space for common programs  Read More information about MSI GL62M 7RE-407 on Amazon.

If you need a laptop has better processor, I would recommend another version of Dell Inspiron i7559 – Dell Inspiron i7559-2512BLK, it has a better Intel Quad Core i7-6700HQ processor, but its graphics card GTX 960m is far behind GTX 1050TI at performance. Besides, it replace the 256GB SSD to be 1 TB HDD + 8 GB SSD Hybrid Drive Storage, as you known, a SSD is important for the performance of a laptop, fortunately, you can add a ssd for the laptop easily.  Read More information about Dell Inspiron i7559-763BLK on Amazon

The ASUS have always had a good reputation among high-end gaming laptops, they are just as excellent in the entry-level gaming laptops. The ASUS VivoBook Pro N552VW-DS79 is a product with more balanced performance, with a great 4K display, processor of i7-6500U, 1 TB 54000RPM and a GeForce GTX 960M, but the GPU only has 2GB DDR5 VRAM.

Buying Guide:

The larger screen is better for gaming, but you may need to sacrifice some portability. Of these three, the Acer VN7-792G-79LX is the best choice, it features the NVIDIA latest 9xxM series Graphic card GTX 960M with 4GB VRAM, according benchmark results, the 960M shows around 10% performance leap over GeForce 860M.
