ASUS G73SW-A1 17.3 Inch Gaming Laptop, which is special for its games, is very suitable for gamers who would like to have great fun. Its powerful game functions depend on fully packed spec-wise with a quad core processor, which has 8GB of RAM, a dedicated video card, the Nvidia GTX 460M with 1.5GB of dedicated memory, and can Boost up Turbo to 2.8GHz. And you will definitely not ready to miss its huge 17.3 inch screen , for It use LED back lit display, which means amazing visual joys.

ASUS G73SW-A1 17.3 Inch Gaming Laptop ReviewsThe -A1 owns 2 500GB hard drives and HDD is split into 3 partitions (hidden restore, Windows drive, spare) and the second HDD is divided into 2 empty partitions. When arranging, I erased all partitions in all drivers,at this moment, C and D drives are set aside.but with Windows 7 and Drivers/Software discs in handy, a restore partition is unnecessary.Features Features:

  • Intel Core i7 2630QM Processor 2GHz
  • 8GB DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM
  • 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M (1536 MB)
  • 17.3-Inch Screen (1920 x 1080 pixels)
  • Front Webcam (2 MP)
  • Windows 7 Home Premium

Overall early impressions:
Pros:
– Fast enough: in about 30 seconds from power-on(completely install)
– Nice quality: gorgeous screen hinge and rubber, great feel of wrist-rests, a kick out of the stealth fighter styling from fingerprints.
– Bright LED backlight ,clear screen (a glare-type)and a backlight keyboard
– Quite cool at the bottom (unlike Inspiron 9300 with poor ability in radiator)
-Good quality in backpack and the mouse

Cons:
-keyboard design: It works OK if you click it hard, but not at the very bottom. Small arrow keys, crammed space among keyboards

-FN keys – laptops like nspiron 9300 had buttons for Mute, Volume Up/Down, Play/Pause, Previous, Next and Stop. On this one, the FN button functions all. (it doesn’t matter much though, for they only work with Windows Media Center.

-There’s also weird glitch when you want a desktop without icons and they reappear when you want it again, however, It turns out Power4Gear (ASUS’s power management software) limits this function. But If you are still looking for another desktop ,then spend $1800 on this laptop is absolutely the most wise choice.
