ASUS announces a new ultra -compact notebook of the Republic of Gamers series.

Today ASUS announced its new ultra-compact size laptop, even though this is not a requirement to be a gaming-oriented computer and belong to the Republic of Gamers products, this laptop has been called RoG G550JK.

To be considered a gaming-only laptop, this computer has a high performance processor, more specifically, an Intel Core i7- 4700HQ, a 4-core processor that has 8 sub-processors, that work with a clock base speed of 2.4 GHz and a 3.4GHz speed in the turbo mode, it also has 6MB of L2 cache memory and a maximum TDP of 47W.

Its graphics functionality comes from NVIDIA, in this case, a new Maxwell brand GPU for mobile devices, specifically the GTX 850M that will feature 2GB or 4GB depending on the version we install of DDR3 VRAM, thanks to the exclusive cooling system ASUS TurboMaster, the performance of the GTX 850M can be modified using overclocking thanks to the great ventilation it has, ASUS also ensures that this graphic functionality’s performance will increase by 5%.

ASUS Republic of Gamers series

The laptop will have a motherboard with an Intel HM86 chipset, which allows the use of up to 16GB of DDR3 memory with frequencies of up to 1600MHz.

Storage can be configured in different ways, such as a 1TB /1.5TB HDD 2.5″ at 5400rpm, a 750GB/1TB HDD at 7200RPM or a 750GB SSHD and finally a 256GB SSD.

Its screen size will be 15.6″, and giving you the ability to choose from a Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 or a HD LED display with a resolution of 1366 x 768.

The market release date and price of the G550JK RoG laptop is still unknown.
