AMD Radeon R9 390 / 390X graphics would have two GPUs

Today we have new information about the AMD Radeon R9 390 and Radeon R9 390X GPUs, graphs based in Fiji silicon that bring a little surprise, the addition of a second graphics processor with the memory known as High Bandwidth Memory (HBM).

The reason for this information is quite simple, as during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) we knew that an unknown and new graphics AMD Radeon R9 would give life to a test of Oculus Rift, and after the release of the SDK 1.0 of the LiquidVR technology it is known that this technology requires two GPUs, since one will do the rendering to reduce latencies while the other will increase the quality of content, something called “Affinity Multi-GPU”, a technology that will be integrated into the Radeon R9 390 and R9 390X graphics.

For now there is no more data, so we will keep waiting to confirm or deny this information.
