Radeon 7900M, GTX 675M all are high performance graphics cards, which have been used all will be used in  high-end gaming laptops, here we will  give you a detail comparison about Radeon 7900M vs GTX 675M.

Nvidia  GTX 675M is a graphics card which based on the GF114 Fremi and supports some impressive features. Effectively, it is a stepped-up version of the GeForce GTX 580M, that is also manufactured in 40nm at the TSMC.

On the other hand, based on the new 28 nm process and GCN (Graphics Core Next) architecture, the AMD Radeon HD 7970M bring some impressive features to the table. First, it has the new revolutionary graphics core next architecture and has its tdp reduced to about 70W, meaning that it will be able to run relatively cool and will be able to be overclocked relatively well. This car will probably be featured in high-end laptops for the remainder of 2012.

The 7970m is essentially nothing more than a compacted version of the 6970 that has been done clock to 800 MHz. By overclocking, you can compensate this. It also has the same 1536 stream processors that are present in its desktop counterpart, so it is as powerful as it.

Originally based on the Pitcairn chip available in the Radeon HD 7870, the Radeon 7900M has similar performance to its desktop counterpart, the 7870 because it has the same 1280 1D shader cores and also has 80 texture units. However, because as a core clock value of only 850 MHz compared with the 1000 MHz of the HD 7870, you can expect the overall performance of the 7970M to lie somewhere between that of the 7850 and  7870 desktop cards.

When discard as compared with the mobile graphics units of Nvidia, the HD7970’s performance is expected to be slightly higher than that of the GTX 675M and will probably be toe in toe with the yet to be released GTX 680M. Rumors have been surfacing around the Internet that the 3DMark 11 scores the 7970M and GTX 680M at P4500 and P4700. However, because the GTX 680M has yet to be released, currently, the HD7970M is the fastest graphics card available for laptops today. You can get Sager NP9170 / Clevo P170EM which is the only a gaming laptop features AMD Radeon HD 7970M on on Xoticpc (Customize, Price is around $1600)
