AMD launches new marketing campaign: will there be new GPUs on the way?

The Sunnyvale firm is preparing a surprise for September 25, as we have seen in a new marketing campaign that the company began, which used two red and blue pills with the phrases “you don’t need pills anymore”and” the future is AMD”.

From the use of both pills we can clearly infer that the red would, almost certainly, be a new Radeon card, while the blue could indicate the use of a cooling system based on water.

The above is by no means confirmed, but it makes sense. And in that sense it is evident that the use of liquid cooling would be reserved for a high-end graphics solution, and this leads us to think that this may be a prelude to the launch of the rumored Radeon R9 295x, based on the Hawaii XT chip.

So, this could be a quick response from AMD against the NVIDIA GTX 980, though we can’t rule out that this is about a new professional graphics solution aimed at the professional industry, and therefore, within the FirePro range.

We will have to wait, but after the launch of NVIDIA’s GTX 980 and the GTX 970, AMD has been in a difficult position and it needs to surprise everyone ASAP with a new range of graphics cards.
