AMD has released the new Catalyst 14.11.2 beta, Sunnyvale brand’s update for graphic solution drivers which is accompanied with important optimizations for two expected games, Far Cry 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition.

In relation to Dragon Age Inquisition the performance improvement is not very important, as it barely reaches 5% by additionally adds CrossFire profile.

By contrast in Far Cry 4 performance improvement is 50% over previous Catalyst 14.11.1 if we have anti-aliasing turned on, a fact that alone and move many users to upgrade to these new drivers.

Regrettably for those who have configurations with more than one AMD graphic card, the game doesn’t supports CrossFire yet, so they will have no choice but waiting to maximize their equipment performance.

The red giant has confirmed that they are working closely with Ubisoft to solve some bugs that have prevented enabling CrossFire mode support in Far Cry 4, so it shouldn’t take long to be available.
